I was expecting these to hatch around Boxing Day, started to hatch last Saturday.

A pleasant start to the year.

Have another clutch in the incubator plus a lone V.t. orientalis egg both due to hatch in a month or two

Cheers

The last egg didn't make it but the others are great.

Tried them with some lobster roaches, as I don't have any crix at mo. Will have to get a picture of these tiny things taking on those roaches. Great stuff! Laughing

Cheers

They are so cute, do you mind if I ask how long the took to hatch and the temps, we have had them cooking since last August, they still look good I have candled them and you can see something there.

They have been cooking since the 7th September, at a temperature around 29.5C. My incubator reset a few times and the temp dropped to 20C for a few hous on about three occasions. Hatched between the 8th and 13th of January, giving incubation length of 124 to 129 days. I try to incubate them around 29/30C or 84/86F. My incubator is set for 28C at the top, I heat from below(with a small circulatory fan), this gives me higher temps on the lower shelves.

I had one clutch that took 86 days! I thought the eggs in that clutch were collapsing due to too little water, I added water and checked the next day, to find they had hatched!

Hope that's of use.

Cheers

Meant to add, the last clutch took 109-113 days under the same regime.

Cheers
