I really don't understand the infertility problem so dont know what to say on the subject, i think it would be easier if everyone fires there ideas and i will respond with my own ideas.
I am no expert and learning all the time this is my second fertile clutch to hatch and i have a third cooking due august so some thing is right.
Next weekend i am picking up 1.2 yellows and a blue banded female cant wait should be some exciting babies in 2009.

I know virtually nothing about these animals apart from they are stunning, so forgive me for my question but the different colour morphs you describe, are these natural occurances? or are they selectively bred? |

I asked Juergan smidt thi as i was not 100% sure of the answer this was his reply.
the spotted are form the north fiji islands of vanua levu and the satalite islands. Studies are going on to clarifiy if this is a subspecie or a specie for it own, or a island colour morph.
They are the largest fijis (B.fasciatus) that can reach nearly 20cm bodysize and 80cm total.
The yellows are from selective breeding but this breeding project has just begun ! |
