Tonight we defrosted some pinkies for the chahoua, but one of them wasn't interested so we had a couple spare. We thought we would try the cresteds, I thought they wouldn't entertain them but they loved them. Anyone else tried feeding pinkies to their cresteds.

Nope, but I bet they are great for breeding females. I may try a few tonight. What about leachies, did you try those?

We have tried the leachies in the past with pinks, fuzzies and even a small mouse lol but only the big male ate them, he would only eat them chopped up, even the pinks had to be cut so he could smell them.
I thought the female cresties would definitely benefit from them, especially after laying a clutch it would give them a boost. I'm going to try and use them in the future and dip the pinkies rumps in calcium to give an extra boost!

I've not tried pinks with Cresteds. Both my leachies love pinks and fuzzies. I wonder if aurics would take to them???

I might try mine with them, I think my male would take one easy - he managed an adult dubia roach the other day that was almost as big as him!

I actually tried one of my females with a pinky for the first time during the week - she took it no problems - but then again, she seems to eat absolutely anything I hand her via the tweezers... I was expecting her to be full up for a good couple of days, but oh no, next night she still managed to clear her bowl of CGD Rolling Eyes Laughing

I tried one of my greedy aurics (she never refuses food..lol) with a small pink last night and she didn't touch it. I offered one to my female chahoua though and she did express some interest in it. She licked it quite a few times, however it was still in the bowl this morning. Perseverance I think....
