I know the 50mm primes haven't got a very close minimum focus distance..is it possible you were too close and camera didn't lock focus properly?..I have done this a few times with my 50mm 1.8 _________________

i re took the same creatures earlier, this time i used the 85 mm instead of the 50 mm.i also altered the focus lock from c to something else these are definatly an improvement on the focusing issues _________________ www.jamieswordsreptiles.com |

This is just what I need. A geeky thread on camera issues.
Keep talking lads. I'm going to follow this one.
Please explain more on what you are doing though Jamie. Altering the focus from C to 'something else' doesn't help me. _________________ Joey (From Sunny Clacton-on-Sea)

Jamie the "C" setting is for continuous servo focus ideal for when tracking moving objects I.E birds in flight or sports events..not good for static subjects.. _________________
