Hi camra pro's.I've just got a sigma 170-500mm now this work mannally with my jessop 2x coverter. But on looking on getting a sigma 2x converter really just for personal prefrance but also most likely the sigma 2x is a better converter. But i can't find any info to say that the sigma 170-500mm is compatable with the sigma 2x converter.Anyone know in what way the sigma 170-500mm and the sigma 2x converters are not compatible ??.Coz the sigma 50-500mm and the sigma 2x converter are compatible mannally ??? .So for what reason would one lens be compatible and the other not ??.
To use a sigma 2x converter do i have to invest in a sigma 50-500mm . |

Personally I wouldnt bother ar the images quality is likely to be poor _________________ Live for today as your dead for a long long time

Have to agree with graeme here..the 170-500mm is a slow lens to start with but adding a 2x converter to it will make it very slow indeed and you will need one hell of a sunny day to get decent shutterspeeds at the apertures you will have. i would have thought it was compatible though..The 2x converters come up for sale second hand quite often..probably due to the image degradation you get with them.. _________________
