Hello

Have read that all ghosts are not compatible, so:
I am thinking of getting a spider het ghost and a male ghost to go with it,

What do I need to look out for in the ghost part of the equation??
Is anyone currently breeding/bred this combo?

thanks
mike

We got a spider het ghost and a ghost a while ago and were advised at the time to get ghosts from the same lines as some arent compatible with each other.

Dont know how accurate this is but we got the same just in case.

easier to match the ghost to the spider het ghost , other way ( 4 Honeybees ) is get spider x ghost ( gets you yar own spiders het ghost ) breed the spiders het ghost back to the ghost ...Honeybees

The general current thinking in the US (and especially from TSK) is that all Ghosts are, in fact, compatible but don't necessarily produce the same results. A Honey Bee made using an Orange Ghost is a significantly different looking animal to one made with a Green or Yellow Ghost. Furthermore, if you "cross" an Orange Ghost with a Yellow or Green Ghost the results rarely look good and tend to lack that "ghostly" quality which makes the morph so special.

As for price, if I produce this year, I would expect to sell for around £1250.

Hope this helps,

Cheers
Dave

Orange, yellow, green and citrus are all supposed to be compatible.........They all look different and all lines are variable. Orange seems to be the fashionable one right now but i think they all have their plusses and minuses. It all depends what you are crossing them into. I think most ghost lines will look good with the spider as alot of spiders have good orange in them anyway.

So you could use a visual Ghost and a Spider to get the same result, or whoudl you have to put the resulting offspring back to the Ghost? I'm assuming the latter.

Also, what would be the result if you put a POG to a spider, would you get a bumblebee het ghost? I still have mental issues for the recessives into the dominants, but I get there in the end Confused Laughing
