hey folks!
i was on holiday for the last week at Glentrool in Dumfries & Galloway - a nice little herping holiday for me!
didn't find LOADS but it was still very cool!
firstly:
look at the size of the shower... I'm 6ft5 so i never managed to get a bleeding shower the whole time we were away!

then some herping:
Common Toads - Bufo bufo found at White Cairn near Glentrool

Viviparous lizards - Lacerta vivipara also found at white cairn

Dor Beetle - found at RSPB woods of Cree nature reserve
(Britain's answer to the dung beetle!)

(yes i held it - I'm not ashamed!)

Pill millipede found at Penninghamme pond

Mallard Duck *male*

Male Adder (Vipera berus) photographed at: Barsalloch Fort near Port William
not any arty farty photos but I'm really happy with them - first time I've ever seen a male Adder and i saw 2 in 24 hours!

i had masses of fun on this holiday and i really can't wait to go back - may take a trip down in the summer to try get some more Adder photos - just love those snakes!
