I've got a Exo Terra for a crested gecko.

The temps are perfect but I'm not able to keep the humidity up.

I spray daily and humidity reads 70% and the coco fibre substrate feels moist but the water on the glass etc soon dries up and then humidy drops to 40%.

I placed a small dish of water in, covered half the mesh with cling film.

Maybe I should get one of those waterfalls, the Lucky Reptile ones sound ok, I know the Exo ones are always slagged off.

Dont worry bought humidity, take the cling film off.
It needs to dry out in the day.
Just spray once and night, especially if you have got coco fubre.
Mine are kept on paper towel with a water bowl, and i only
spray a couple of times a week,
They are fine, and have been like this for ages Very Happy

Cheers Paul, good to know.
It's just reading caresheets, they go on about it needing to be around 70%.

as long as it rises to that in the evening it can dry out a little during th eday .

it doesnt need to be a constant 70%..

yeah best to let it dry out a little between sprays... too much spraying gets plants dead, mould growing and animals that think their housemates wet the bed.

I have one tank set up with a lucky reptile fogger which is great for humidity and has been tested to keep the tank at 90% and 80% and does a damn near perfect job.. only thing is nothing lives in the tank Sad
