As jackie says, if you can see pores its a male. Id suggest getting a loupe although at that size you can pretty much see the pores without a loupe. loupes are for animals less than about 20g really

Thanx Jackie. I'm not too sure about the pores. Some days I look at it and think I can see them and then another day I can't!! Just have to keep waiting and see what developes!!

Where's the best place to get a loupe? I've been looking on ebay at theses ones, are they ok for looking for pores?

That should be fine. I just use a normal magnifying glass.

Well I got a jewellers loupe today. Red is a female and Speckles is a male. So thanks everyone.
