|
|
I am building two plywood stacks at the weekend. Both stacks will consist of four Vivariums each, one stack will have 4x 36x15x18 and the other will have 4x 33x15x18 (WxHxD).
The stacks will be housed in Reptile Shed that is heated to just below the cool-end temperature.
Originally, I was going to use heat mats controlled by two Pulse stats (4x each stat), however, I have had the idea of using heat cable instead of Heat mats (one heat cable per stack, one pulse stat per heat cable).
The only problem I can think of would be the same as with heat mats, which is placing the probe and adjusting the stat to give the best average heat throughout all vivs in the stack.
However, I have not used heat cable before, so I would like to know if anybody can think of a reason (or problems) that would make using heat cable unadvisable.
Any advise would be gratefully received. _________________ 31August2008-Kent Reptile Show (Amphibians & Inverts welcome) for more information & Booking e:mail: mrac@sky.com |
