As I stated in the "reptiles in the field" section, ive been doing plenty of walking this last week, so had the opportunity to get some photos:

Thanks Stuart, but I really don't think theres a camera out there which could capture exactly how breathtaking it really is! I think part of it is being immersed in the environment, you don't get that with photos. Still, i was at least pleased with a couple of them!

Its a beautiful place and I think your photographs do give a good idea of just how lovely it is. Hope you enjoyed yourself.

Why are their no boarders or skiers up on those mountains?!

Christ, if that was MY photos from going walking, it would be pictures of dog chods, abandoned cars and dodgy brickwork.

Jakeus-there were plenty of Ski-ers, the cairngorm mountain ski slopes can just be seen in one of the pictures.

It was actually rather warm, I was able to get away with not wearing a jacket for most of the walk... it got chilly when I stopped for lunch though
