Hello,
I ordered a 24x18x122" vivarium from vivbuilder, but it's taking ages, this is the 9th week, I've rang up twice and they keep saying it's nearly ready and should be out next week.
Anyway I was wondering if the vivexotic AX22chameleon vivarium would be big enough for my panther.
The size of this is 544 L X 406W X 920H mm
I know bigger is better but i don't have much length/width room. If anyone knows where to get one similar to the vivbuilder vivarium I ordered, then let me know.
Any help much appreciated |

Hi
Personally I would opt for a mesh enclosure over a standard wooden type enclosure (most wooden vivs, even those specifically designed for chams, don't have enough ventilation in my opinion). A lot of keepers keep younger panthers in exo terra terrariums before moving on to something a bit more "open" such as an exo terra flexarium or a "Terry Thatcher" mesh viv when their cham gets a bit older/bigger.
cheers

I have some of the viv exotic vivs, i modify them by cutting the roof out and the bottom panel and replacing them with mesh they work fine for me. _________________

I think I would have problems keeping the temp and humidity up with a mesh vivarium.
Awesome, I just wasn't sure whether the vivexotic viv would be big enough, I only have the one cham atm.
But I think my cham would appreciate the extra height :] |

thanks thats really helpful. i'll just measure what i need now and order some i don't really want to cut a hole in the top for mesh as i plan to put another viv on top so will it be ok if i just replace the bottom glass panel? it's about three foot wide one foot in height. seems like a lot of mesh to me anyway! _________________ Jennifer |

Well to get good airflow the top really needs to be meshed too. If you can i would advise doing the top also _________________

what if i put a square of mesh on both sides of the viv close to the top, would that work? it has some vents standard in the back as well. _________________ Jennifer |
