My royal shed on thursday and after getting the cast off skin out of the viv i found a few spots of blood on them from what i assume is the log in the viv.
When i had garter snakes i had a smooth rock in the viv and i had no probs with shedding, would this be better for my royal?
Also my royal now has what i think is a tender spot on his back where he seems to tense up when i touch does anyone have any advice about what i can do? _________________ I love playing with my snake!! |

I tend to use cork bark, sometimes it can have the odd sharp point, just check it over and rub off any sharp pieces.
As for the tender spot, I have had snakes that if you touch with your nails along their backs and sides you can fool them into thinking a male is 'showing interest'. _________________
