hey folks, was herping yesterday morning at a spot i rarely go to but it has to be one of my favs anyway. There are 2 species of newt there: palmate & smooth. Yesterday, although there was ice on the waters surface i found 2 adult female palmate newts and a little newt tadpole, first time I've ever found a new tadpole so it was a good day, heres a few snaps:
