hi im thinking of getting an emperor scorpion and i was wondering how often would it need feeding and how many crix it should take per feeding to keep him/her healthy. also how should i heat the tank?

ok no replies...I've done Evan more research on trying to find some info on feeding and I've read that about 4 crickets per week but still not sure if that's the right amount... any help would me greatly appreciated

and it depends on age and the individual, just give it a few each feeding (once a week at first to give u and idea how much to feed) and obviously it will have a very good feeding response, feed just until its feeding responce gets slower then stop as soon as it does.

Do that for about 3 weeks and you should son get an idea if it needs feeding more or less.

Be careful, they are very prone to obesity so if its plates start lifting/moving apart your feeding too much.

I have 6.10 emperors and feed them an adult locust or adult dubia cockroach (with head crushed ) usually once every 10-14 days but every now and then i miss a feed.
They are all fine on this seemingly sparse diet and breeding well, So far this year i have 67 scorplings with another estimated 40 young still on their mothers back.

haven't been on here i a while but thought id just say thanks for the help and i ended up getting a Vietnamese scorpion instead
