Anyone have experience in making fake rock backgrounds and care to give me a guide?

I've just been to B&Q and bought some MDF, polystyrene ceiling tiles, PVA, grout, and expanding foam.. annnnnnnd some sand...

Do I need anything else? Apart from a clue how to do DIY Rolling Eyes Wink lol

And.. what do I do next? Embarassed lol
