I am building a new 48 x 23 x 23 vivarium for a bearded dragon.

I have 3 rectangular vents to position somewhere on it.

Will it be OK to put them on the top (ie the roof) of the viv?

I know they usually go on the back, but as the viv is in the corner of the room the back and one side are pushed up against a wall, so wont get much air flowing through..

thanks.

Can you not put the vents on the sides of the vivs instead?
Putting the vents on the roof will give you about as much air flow as if you had them on the back against a wall.. meaning not much.

I could put them on the side, but as the viv is pushed right up in the corner of the room, one side and the back are against a wall so will not let much air through.

Why would not much air flow through if they are on the top?

Because they will not be in a position where air can circulate.. If you have a vent at the top and some lower down then that could work.

That would be better than having them all on the roof Smile
