I got to spend a chunk of yesterday playing with some of the crested geckos of Serpentus Exotics in Townhead, and I think I'm sold. I never really "got" the appeal of cresties until I had a chance to really meet some. Nicola's babies are all a credit to her ... puppy dog tame, glowing with health, and absolutely beautiful.

Now I just need to find a space to put a tank, and keep my name on the list for babies Laughing

Here's a few piccies I took while I was down there:

We've got babies and adults but it's always good to have a little shot of someone elses. Smile

You should definitely jump on the Crestie bandwagon, they're soooo cute.

I've seen most people keep these in groups ... what I'm wondering is, are they actually social animals, or do they just tolerate being in groups?

I've no intention of breeding them but I'd just quite like to own one or two. What I'm wondering is, if I bought just one male would he be happy on his own, or is it preferable to keep males with females so they have companionship of their own kind? (in which case I would presumably want a group of just females).

They're fun to photograph. I like the third shot too apart from the horrendous bokeh on it ... what's that all about?
