My previous post was obviously the female ripening her follicles. I thought she was going to explode when I saw her ovulating.
Hopefully I should have eggs soon.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks guys.
A mate of mine is building a nest box for me. I'm now trying to decide whether or not to let her incubate the eggs or not. The vivs Im using are great in terms of very stable temps and holding humidity.
Will post pics if she lays. Lets just hope the male was fertile when they mated!

Congratulations!
It goes without saying, but if you do decide to let mum do the incubating make sure you have your own incubator set up and running as a plan B.
cheers

Incubator is nearly finished... want to have it up and running for a week before she lays.... im just looking for some domed top tubs so that any condensation runs down the dome and does not drip onto the eggs.
Any one have ideas of where I can get hold of dome top tubs?

Hi
Last season I used the "no-substrate" method and had my eggs sitting in drip trays (from B&Q) that were suspended over water on a grid inside a 9L Really Useful Box. This RUB was in-turn sitting on a grid over water inside my incubator (poly box).
I had no issues with condensation dripping from the RUB lid onto the eggs and only opened up the egg box a couple of times during the incubation to wipe away condensation from the lid.
cheers
