If you feed the CGD mix do you still need to use a mineral supplement or does the CGD supply enough? I know you still need to give extra calcium powder.

Cheers Paul.
I'm still uncertain about live foods. Crickets seem to be nasty. Locusts sound better but many say their crestie won't eat them.

I think if the crickets are fed well then there is no problem.
Mine nail them as soon as they are in the tank.
Mine arent found of locust i put some medium ones in and i found an adult on a couple of weeks later. Laughing

I feed my cresties their livefoods from tweezers - so as far as they're concerned, anything that wiggles and is on the end of the big yellow bringers of food, then they'll nail them. I hate crickets, so always have locusts, and none of my 6 cresties have indicated they dislike them!

Don't know what would happen if you just left them in the viv though - because locusts diurnal, they won't really move much at night when your cresties are awake, so it's less likely they'll attract their attention.

I use both crickets and locusts they love the locusts, and only dust them once or twice a week
