was thinking of getting a Chameleon, one of the smaller species as i have a 45x45x45 exo i need to fill, anybody any suggestions, and what kinda cost they are?! ...
Havent kept Chams before so a good starter species ...

Hi Dantro ,
i keep a Yemen female she,s med size ,and she,s two years old .and very tame for a yemen as thay can get a bit grumpy ,after all the promblems with producing eggs next time i would have a male .so if you can wait until march my yemen,s babys should of hatched

Yemens are ok as a starter species, as are panthers IMO. However, there is no way that you could keep an adult of either of those species in a 45x45x45 exo terra as this is way too small IMO. So unless you'd be prepared to upgrade on the viv size I would stick to a smaller species of chameleon.
Also, yemens are probably better off in flexariums or mesh enclosures as good airflow is important and they don't seem to require higher humidity levels. |
