I found this picture on a website and it has somewhat baffled me is the Boa incredibly small or is the Royal incredibly large? I think it's the Royal that's incredibly large.
All the care sheets and information that I have ever read has stated that Royal Pythons grow to 5ft 6ft maximum at a push.
What do you think? _________________ kerridwen (Lorna)

That would be one scary Royal Python if it really was that size! _________________ kerridwen (Lorna)

The boa only looks between 3-4 foot, making the royal python a large (but not exceptionally large by any means) adult...
...nothing about the photo looks altered to me just two snakes of different ages sitting next to each other _________________ Regards James Stroud |

Photo's can be very deceiving.
I know of some cases where snakes in captivity have exceeded their average maximum length, was just wondering if this was one of these cases.
I am happy to admit that I know nothing about Boa's apart from they get really big, are really beautiful and I don't have enough space for one. So I couldn't even guess how old the Boa was.
It's a very good picture though. _________________ kerridwen (Lorna)
