@ Callmechook: That actually isn't an Abronia species at all. Even though it's very pretty the pic shows a galiwasp; Diploglossus monotropis
Abronia species are kept (and bred) by very few people both in the USA and in Europe. I was told they need serious temperature drops at night in order to breed. Who knows, some day....... (They'll set you back a couple of thousand Euro's for a pair, depending on species)

Abronia are a stunning lizard, I remember seeing some captive bred babies at the San Diego Reptile Breeders expo about 10 years ago. I think they were $500+ each. Don't remember seeing any for sale since then. _________________

Yes they are very nice species and quite expensive, I was offered some last year but decided not to bother, but if anyone is interested in them I can pass on your details. |
