I have just given my female royal a swim and i've noticed some blood coming from her vent. I've put her on some paper towel and she is leaving a few blood marks on there. I recently put a male in there with her, could the blood be due to mating behaviour( although i've not witnessed any ). This is the first time trying to breed royals so i'm unsure if this is normal. Obviously i've seperated the pair of them until i can get an answer from you guys.

Cheers,

Stu.

No obvious signs of it mate. I checked her vent over and all looks normal ( apart from the blood ).

It's when part of the inside comes out through the vent. I thought it was more common in males with the hemipenes but am probably wrong as usual.

is it still bleeding?
if not I would guess the warm bath just loosened something up inside and would'nt worry about it, if however it is still bleeding then there is obviously some sort of internal problem that only a vet can help with.
