Last night I drove over 4 hours to pick them up. They are full of spunk, they all have random scars not from the keeper I bought them from, but from the keepers that he got them from.
My female also has a scar from when she got out awhile back.
The old owner said one/two of them laid eggs, I think I have a Female, a male, and a 'it'. Though I found the 'female' trying to mount my female. Here's a photo of the new 'female' and a link to my album showing all of them. They are all labeled male, female or it.
Any guesses on sex?

Nice looking animals for sure!
Even though I hate to be the one to spoil te fun; the "female" actually looks rather male-ish to me....?! The same goes for "it". ....
They all have broad heads, dark colours and appear rather large.
Of course I can never be 100% sure, especially from photo's. I hope you have just stumbled uppon a lineage with large and dark females!
Regards,
Siebren |

I agree they all do look maleish, but the 'female' does have a much more pointed snout, and the owner before last said he did get eggs.
I've never heard of males being darker than females... infact I've seen dark females. I don't think color has anything to do with sexing Ackies.
Oh and the 'female' is smaller than my current female. The two males are larger, the 'it' being the largest.
Thanks everyone!
Cheers,

In my experience lots (indeed, not all) of the ackies found in Europe have smaller females and larger males. In term of colour most males do tend to be darker and their colours are more "defined"whereas females tend to have a more faded colour. I know the way I describe it is vague, but often times it has proved to be true. |

I agree with Siebren. I also think size & colour of females is a good indicator, with yellows anyway (never kept or even seen real life reds). |
