Hello again!
Im having trouble getting my guy to drink...! I've tried everything!
tried a dripper - not interested.
Put him in the shower on a tree - Seemed to like it, but no drink.
I mist him 3 times a day - he just closes his eyes.
I know that some chameleons run about when misted... not this guy. Just closes his eyes until it's over... and no drink.
I've been trying to hand water him with a pipette, but he does not like it and it just stresses him....
Any suggestions? I've not seen him drink for 3 days now... getting a bit worried... His eyes are certainly not a bulged as i would like them to be... |

Any pictures to see if he is dehydrated? I've only seen my chameleon drink twice in quite a few months. _________________

Hi harrison.
I would Persevere with the hand watering. if he is young it will obviously be easier than with an older animal. try using a small rodent bottle, just drip it a couple of inches from his mouth. he should eventually start to drink. |

No problem, mine just drinks after I've gone, as long as the leaves are wet. They're surprisingly good at 'noticing' water. _________________

Harry how long are you spraying for? you need to spray a long while to trigger the drinking response. I dont often see all of mine drink, if he is eating and pooing i wouldnt worry, a thirsty chameleon wont eat as long as his eyes are nice and bulgy he will be fine _________________

should I be spraying my babies for more than a minute? I have just been giving them a quick squirt and watering the leaves of all the plants.... they hate it!!
never seen them drinking at all but they have been passing urine.. |

I never see my chams drinking, but there's always water on the leaves...and they're not dead...so the must be drinking alright...I wouldn;t worry as long as the water is there _________________
