Hi all - Time to stop lurking in the wings and post.

I bought a group of cresties nearly a week ago, all adults. One of the females has no tail. From the stump it looks like although it has healed, was perhaps not long ago. I am a bit worried about her because she won't climb.
If I put her up high she freezes then looks down to the floor to see how to get there, once she has got down, just really by leaning over and letting go - she will find somewhere on the floor to hide, or just walk round for a bit. She won't go back up. Now all the five sleep at the top on a ledge I've built, they sleep in a pile - its a sort of hide as I've draped greenery over for privacy. If I pick her up and put her with them, she will happily go and climb into the pile and go to sleep, but I'm worried then that she can't get down if she wants to. I don't know if she'll be able to get crickets up there. The shelf is big enough to take their CGD bowls so at least if she's up there she can eat that.
What are your thoughts? Anyone come across this before?

you might need to seperate her from the rest of the group ,

try getting her a smaller enclosure and watch to make sure she is eating .

sounds as though she is a bit scared . give her a simple enclosure with a couple of hides and try to make sure anythingshe can climb on isnt high enough to hurt her if she falls . .

what is she eating at the moment? . from what ive read not being able to climb can be one of the syptoms of MBD . which is a calcium deficiency stemming from a diet with not enough calcium in it .
