|
|
After waking up this morning with toothache, a massive cold sore and having to walk to and from work in the pouring rain and high winds...I decided that it was not my day.
Something lovely has happened though to make me smile I was about to mist and feed the gecko hoards and noticed that my one baby mourning gecko was awfully small...too small really to be the same one... which is when I discovered the two eggs I had placed in her viv to stop mummy eating them had hatched!!! So now I have two tiny (less than an inch) mourning gecko babies, a juv and a very very gravid mummy!! Its soooooo cool. I will attempt to get pics...but they are super fast and super small...may take some time
Just thought I would share with you all!

well done. i saw pictures of a baby on someones arm. they are so tottie. we have eggs stuck on the wall but no hatching as yet. i take it you let them hatch out beside the mum? can you move the mum after she lays or are you best leaving them and just trying to catch the babies? _________________

These eggs were actually laid in a little tub that had been used as a hide for mum, and because I knew she had eaten babies before with her pervious owner, I decided to move the eggs to the small faunarium with the juvenile I had, so that they would be less likely to be eaten when born. I hope to put that little tub back in for her to lay in again, and only move them back when they are big enough! _________________ 0.0.1 Corn
