This is my new girly, Elsa. Did think she was a yellow from pictures sent before I bought her but she is looking a little orangey/red/ Could this be the sand she was kept on before?
She was apparently probed as female too.....
Opinions welcome!
Cheers

Yay!! My boy is a yellow so thats good. Funnily enough he hates baths....he has trouble shedding especially around the stumps where his toes used to be and hes having trouble shedding at the mo so I've been bathing him and using that zoo-med shed aid, with no look. Poor guy he really hates baths
My male is also a bit small, 50g lighter than this girl and much more slender, so I was a bit worried about introducing them, what do you think? I'm quarantining for about 6 weeks so its a while off yet. Here he is..
These are a bit old and hes a bit chunkier now, but not as much as she is!
Cheers guys!! |

Thanks I love my boy to pieces, and I'll be happy if the female is half as calm as he is. Havn't met her yet as she got delivered at home and I have my male at uni with me.
Cheer

When I introduce ackies I give them a good feed before, make sure they have plenty of hiding spaces. Then sit down and chill while watching them.
I have never had problems introducing ackies together, as long as you keep the groups at 1.2.
1.1 is fine but males tend to keep pestering the female. Men eh! |

Thanks I am hoping to get another soon so I have 1:2 but they are like rocking horse poo to find! Theres a few people on the look out for me so maybe another one will show up when I get my next student loan in April
I eventually want a larger group, 1:3 or 1:4 maybe. Goin to collect lots of rocks and wood and bolt some logs to the viv wall to maximise space and perhaps make a polystyrene/grout background for her to climb on. The male doesn't climb much as he can't grip but the female has all toes and claws so I'll have to come up with some good climbing structures for her.
Lee, how deep do you have your substrate? I have 4" across half the viv and 12" in an mdf section on the other half. If she were to lay would this be deep enough for her to burrow or should I sort a nesting box too??
Thanks
