Kenny here are a few images of my office which has a bunch of critters in exo terra's.
This first one was how it used to be. The dowling idea never worked and I did away with the back..too hard to keep clean.
These next two show how its all ended up now.
The next ones show the inside of each viv
As you can see i use panel heaters and all the critters seem happy and are doing well.
The biggest issue is humidity and the perch issue is sometimes depenent upon the individual animal.
The Diamond Python will not use the plastic tube though likes the cable!
I have a superb pair of Biak growing like weeds and only since I put in apple branches for perching!

Thanks its taken about a year to refine everything and get it all working like I want.
I'm lucky having two rooms like this one and with all these heaters it gets pretty warm as exo terras do not retain heat very well.
I know some Chondro breeders have had some snakes which do not seem to like the openness of these vivs but I have found that if they become stressed and go of food all I need to do is put plants in and they settle down.
As I'm the only one who goes into the rooms much of the time the snakes dont seem to mind.
However I do have a Paul Harris bred Chondro who wants to eat me every time she sees me move

Nice looking setup Greaham. I have to admit im a little surprised some of them are comfortable in these at such a large size but they all look healthy enough. _________________ 0.0.1 Biak Green tree python

super set-ups graham,can i ask a couple of questions?
1. where did you get those perch supports, and do you fix them to the glass with silicon?
2. what kind of diameter perch do you use? i've never figured out if its the same as the snakes body or what? is there a rule of thumb here at all?
by the way, i will call you soon,i have something that may interest you,or look in classifieds about yesterday or day before. _________________ we all have the spark of divinity within us, but are we responsible enough to use it? |
