Crying or Very sad hello all i need help I've had leopard geckos for years but this mite problem is new and I'm not totally sure if its mites even i found these bugs in my tank there all over paper but cant find any on lizards.. few in water bowl. and in worm dish i need help please i don't know what to do... Question Question Shocked Confused

Lori, have you checked around the eyes,mouth? Front-line spray is excellent for killing mites! Troy

They're probably not going to be mites. I don't think I've ever heard of leopard geckos with mites.

They're probably springtails, or some sort of harmless scavenger mite. Just clean out the tanks, make sure its kept dry (except the humid hide) and clean. They are not a problem though, and its nothing to worry about.

i didn't notice any of the bugs until i opened the egg laying box where i got the moss stuff i try to keep wet then that's when they got everywhere. i looked at geckos .. didn't see any bugs on them

do you feed you're leos also crickets?
because, then they also could just be hatchlingcrickets, they love to lay there eggs in humid places.

i never thought it could be baby crickets and me and my bf been trying to breed the stupid things lol wouldn't it be something if that's what we did in gecko tank and all this time i was trying to breed them in a 20 gallon tank without heat lol...thanks again for this advise Very Happy Surprised Rolling Eyes Idea Smile
