|
|
2 of my female leos have lived together happily for around 12 months but for the last 2 weeks they have been in separate vivs for the purpose of a behavioural study.
I put them back together today and after a while Lulu began to shed. I heard a scuffle and looked to see the other, Lola, running away from her. I took Lola out and it appeared she had been bitten on the tail and was shaken. It didn't break the skin, just made the top layer peel a little. So my question here is was the aggression the accumulation of bein apart for a while plus the stress of being in shed?? They are separate now, but I would like them back together. I have set up a new viv so its neutral territory and may try to introduce them again later.
Also afterwards Lulu was running round like a crazy thing, she couldn't get the skin off her eyes, it was half off but she couldn't get it all of and was really stressed out. I helped get it off with some warm water and cotton buds and have left her for a few hours in a tb with kitchen roll a hide and water. Just checked on her and her eyelids look sore and puffy. Is there anything I can do?? I feel bad that I had to get it off and may have done more damage but she was completely freaking out
And in the light of that do you think I should leave the pair of them separate for a while??
Any help would be great
Thanks
