you could keep most dwarf aussie monitors in there. pilbara's, storrs, kimberly's ect. good luck with you descision. either way ackies are a great start into the world of monitors.

Could get a few ackies in there no worries
Do kimberlies need more height, most of the vivs I have seen for them have been quite high and I wondered because they are on my future purchase list

Kimberleys (V. glauerti) are definitely 'vertical' monitors, and a 2' tall cage with appropriate substrate would not provide the best amount of headroom for them. While monitors can be gotten to live in low cages, most species will climb if given the opportunity, and settle in better if they have perches placed above human head level. Tall cages also allow a better thermal range.
The snake-based idea of a 2' high cage set on the floor really isn't fair for any monitor species. |

Hi, what sort of prices should i be expecting for pilbara's and storrs?
also, i have a bed base, which is 6x3x18 high, and i could go 3foot high with that, but I'm only 14 and my parents would probably say no, even though my dad has around 20 years experienced _________________ 1.2.0 Giant Whiptail Lizad (Not as big as the name suggests) |
