I went to a chinese market this afternoon to buy some dog food my puppy when i passed by a stall selling live poultry products, rabbits, and some other animals when i noticed these fishnets hanging on one corner with some assorted snakes from mangroves, ratsnakes, and retics so i've decided to check one of the retics being sold for some people who still believes in the power of drinking snake's bile.I've noticed that it has a much lighter color compared to my retics and it has more yellow colored scales but there were some old wounds on the top of its head and its nose is scarred from pushing its way out of the fishnet. It was being sold for 1500 Php which is equivalent to $ 36.5 so i started to haggle for a much lower but i know that there will be some risks involve knowing that the retic is a wild caught and have been traumatized and i end up paying 1000 Php or $ 24.3.I just hope that i will not regret my decision for acquiring this retic.

You are absolutely right MJ...and you will always wonder what to find especially in Asian markets. |

poor bugger, at least its road to recovery has started. i take it you've got it in quarantine away from your others as it would be a shame to mess up your lovely collection of herps. |
