I like the look of them for sure but haven't had a proper look at the lid so I'm not 100% sure how easy it would be.

Th ventilation in them wouldn't be great so you would have a lot of condensation on the sides from time to time... we'll maybe clear patches from time to time Laughing Wink

I'll have a proper look at one today and see if any ideas pop into my head Wink

the volcano is an extra, it normally just comes with a large plastic tube. Will you be converting one with or without a light? Its just that the one with the light unit might be difficult to adapt due to the serious lack of ventilation.
If you get one without the light you could probably place mesh where the clear plastic cover is.

I wouldnt do it myself... Unless your able to find a good way of backing about half of it. You cant leave it completley open, as this would stress the frogs considerably (no feeling of security if there sides/back arent covered)

I wouldnt just get dartfrogs because they would look good in this viv though-they need a lot of research and planning.

Still, if you can find a way of doing it then go for it.. Wink

I haven't managed to get a proper look at one of these today Embarassed

I'll say that a viv doesn't need a background it all boils down to our preference and I've seen some amazing looking no background vivariums with health active frogs.. As long as you pay attention to creating natural barriers etc then a Biorb or other open vivarium would be fine.
