I have longed for a Spider Royal for ages and today I spent the money saved up to M.O.T. the white van !!!! and bought myself one Embarassed Very Happy Oh well, got three weeks to save up again - baked spuds and beans whilst I save like mad Rolling Eyes Isn't he a wee sweetie ? The one up-to-size female that I have for this year is in with a friends Piebald male, and I also have a young Graziani Pastel, sooooooo, hoping for lots of fun times ahead.

Here are some photos of my new treasure, and anyway, I like spuds and beans Wink Laughing

Very Happy Very Happy Thankyou everyone for your comments, he is really cute. Looking forward to feeding him later this week - he last fed on Friday so no point offering a feed yet. I keep going to peep at him, but not picking him up or anything daft as he must be given time to settle.

White vans.... Oh I love my van Rolling Eyes For 17 years I ran my own Driving School Exclamation Exclamation Hey, it was that or starve the kids, and so I did of course always have to have a 'proper' new or newish little twee car. Humph. I am now an O.A.P. and so can drive what I like ( as long as I can afford it Crying or Very sad ) and so have my tatty little white van. It is such FUN Laughing Can you imagine this Grumpy Granny at a T junction in my white van ? Hey, clear the road, Gran is out.....

Hi Quasi

He really is lovely. I bet your glad to be out of the self employed racket though. I'm hoping I can build myself a future with the reptiles, I work for myself and it's damn hard work, harder than working for someone else, and you don't get holidays or sick days Crying or Very sad It's a miricle I have any flesh left after our clients have had their pound of it on a daily basis! Laughing

You are SOOO right there Draco, being self-employed has huge advantages, BUT, the disadvantages are also huge. As you say, no holidays or sick-pay, and as a one-woman Driving School there was always the responsibility to care for the students well. If a pupil had a test coming up, or the test itself, there was no way that illness would stop me being there for them. Finally I had a total break-down - literally whilst in the car with a pupil driving !!!!! Crying or Very sad

You take care Draco, hope that all goes well for you with the snakies. They are such a joy aren't they. It is nearly time to start to bring some of my other species of snakes out of Winter brummation and warm them up, feed them for a month or so and then put them together !!! Yippeeee, life may be very difficult still, but I can always hide in the warm snake room with all of my gorgeous babies Very Happy
