Hi

I noticed yesterday that my females tummy was showing very clear egg shapes. I have put a lay box in with her and she keeps going in and digging for a while then climbs out, could she be ready to lay?

Regards
Sheila

Sounds very much like she's working her way round to it, you should get a few days of frantic digging then she'll lay so hope you've got the incubator set up and ready for the eggs.

yep sounds fine, if you have provided a deep enough laying box of the right humidity and temp then you shouldn't have any problems at all.

best of luck.

Many thanks for your replies,I have a lay box which is approx 15" X 15" and 10" deep filled with perlite and sand dampened and packed down. I have had the incubator running for 5 days now at temp of 84/85 degrees and humidity of 90%.

Will keep you posted many thanks once again

Sheila
