Looking at the Ghost G-Stripe thread ( http://www.captivebred.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16905 ) made me remember a big error in my 'morph direction' as I didn't buy any visual ghosts (only now I have some waiting to arrive).

Anyway, what do guys think are the KEY base morphs that people interested in morph production should be working with (yes I know it's all a matter of personnal taste Laughing )

I believe the Ghost genes are important, het or visual as the ghost improves just about every morph it's mixed with.

The other obvious one is the simple Pastel, again there's not a single combo morph that has pastel in it that the pastel gene hasn't upped the beauty of the new combo.

Anyone else got any to add and why?

i think im with you 100% on those 2 scott,i often say if i was to have a rack full of 1 female co dom's it would be pastels i would pick, just for the simple reason they enhance a morph rather than overtake a morph when crossed.and as for ghosts Shocked everytime i see a combo they just do the biz, time and again!!!!

If you were to add another base morph female, what would it be?

Jamie, you know me, I couldn't stop at just one Embarassed

Yep I think you're right there Casey, not a single lesser combo that I don't like.

I'm also a fan of the yellow belly.

Certainly is Embarassed

I've still got a list of morphs that I'm after, I consider some as a MUST have Embarassed Laughing Stripe female, Caramel female, Clown female to name just a few Laughing

My modest little group contains the genes for albino, axanthic, spider, and pastel, which will pretty much make me (eventually!) all the combos I really want.

As much as I love pieds, I don't think they, for me, would mesh with the group I have so well.

The top three base morphs I'd love to add would be:
1. Pinstripe
2. Clown
3. Fire (not for the lucys, which I am not a particular fan of - but more for the "cleaning" effect it has on combos)
