These guys are stunning but pure evil! Twisted Evil I am looking after 4 of them, all fresh WC imports so they have gone into quarantine while i get them acclimatised. All eating well, and looking good. Gonne be a nightmare trying to probe them Laughing

O almost forgot, they are Corallus endydris cooki (Cooks tree boas)

Enjoy!

Rick

They are the one type of snake that seems to hate me. lol. My mate was forever getting them in for his shop and I dont think I've ever come across a tame one yet.

But all I can say is have fun with them. lol.

Corallus enydris cookii is not a valid name any more, hasn't been for quite a while. The group formerly known as enydris, was split up and cookii became a separate species, Corallus cookii. They only occur on the island of St. Vincent. So, if these are WC, they are only cookii if they come from there. If not, then these are probably Corallus hortulanus, or amazon tree boas. And many amazon tree boas, especially garden type, used to be imported as enydris cookii. So, where do these come from?

Ah? that's starting to make since now, so are they prone to bad temper or are the captive bred ones a little easier on the nerves.

I remember we had some of these monsters at the fitzsimmons snake park where i used to work, what seems like a hundred years ago now. Rolling Eyes they seemed to have a particular fondness for human flesh Twisted Evil

Cheers everyone!

Ron, thanks allot for the info! I do not know the exact origin of these animals but from what i have managed to find out they are most likely garden phase ATB's. I will try and do a bit more digging and find out for sure.
