Going to be building a new cage over the next couple of weeks,
Have ordered the materials of Aluminum box section for the frame,Aluminum insect mesh for ventilation.

Basically 3 foot x 3 foot x 18inch depth, with mesh for top, back, both sides and the lower 1/3rd of the front.Going to have 2 sliding glass doors for better viewing.the bottom will have a 1 inch tray for collecting the water from the drip feeder and misting,to be emptied daily, should i put a drain in the tray for the water to run off so humidity is keep low or would it not make much difference,

Above the tray will be a false mesh floor to keep their dinner in but will be easily removed for the cleaning.

Have changed the heating and lighting to 2 100watt bulbs on a twin thermostat and UVB is supplied by a reptisun 10 as recommended in an earlier thread. This would be transferred from my other set up.

Your opinions or recommendation would be appreciated as i would like to get this one right from the beginning.

Thanks Gary

That sounds great!

I personally would use a 2 inch tray, with a drip platform one inch up, then have some bark substrate in the top tray.

This would keep humidity nicely and look better on the eye.

I would personally go for a slanted "under floor" and have it drain off into a bucket, firstly to save my time and effort, and also to lower the disturbance levels to the chameleon.

Good Luck!
Regards
Dan
