I collected my first 4 Female royals yesterday, 3 are already breeding weight and the smallest is 1000g. I have tried feeding them tonight with a slightly smaller than normal meal as they have been cooled for the last 3 weeks or so as they were in with the chaps other adults, 2 struck fed, the largest and the smallest, the smallest one nearly took the tongs out of my hand with the force she hit the rat The other 2 I have just left their nice warm ratties in with them at the warm end of their tubs in the hope that they will get the munchies in the middle of the night I will check in on them in the morning, so fingers crossed.
They are all normal adult females, and the one apparently bred last year. I was just so chuffed that I managed to find adult females this time of year I had to tell everyone, and them eating was an added bonus _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

Thanks Rad
My other 11 are arriving from Scott on Tuesday, I'm have a royal crazy week this week and I'm all over excited, it's better than Christmas And hopefully my other rack will be ready later on this week and I will finally be able to get my other 2 home with me
These 4 are in a quarantine rack and will be staying there until early March, they all seem healthy and everything, but I'd rather not take the chance, and the little ones have their own rack in my wardrobe where it's nice and cozy, the other 2 will be going in mine and hubbies bedroom _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

I've got some nice ones coming I bought my 7 little cresties from him in September, and they are absolutely stunning I just missed out on his Gambian Pouch Rats
It's a terrible thing to have an addiction The hubby is still trying to work out whether he likes snakes or not He isn't going to have much choice now, I've also bought 2 little corns for the kids, 1 each, so they don't want to play with my royals and upset them, ssssssssss don't tell hubby _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

I'm extremely confident I will Scott, I'm so excited and nervous as well
The whole family is already involved, we're just trying to get hubby more involved He liked watching the two strike feeding last night, but I don't think he got the adrenalin rush I did We're an animal mad family, the two kids have their own breeding projects, as the fat tails and Leopards Geckos are theirs, and they were their Christmas presents, my little boy who's 7 dotes on his Leopard Geckos like a mother hen, but doesn't bother them more than he should, he's actually very responsible for a little chap, I think I might have a Steve Irwin in the making.
The other two females didn't like their rats I've taken them out this morning and given their RUBS a clean. Should I wait a week and try them again, or go the fortnight and keep them in line with the other 2?
I've named the smallest one Delta as in Delta Force, as she nearly took the tongs out of my hand _________________ www.draco2.co.uk
