Made a few alterations, used cork tubes rather than logs but put them vertical. Got the mist system up and running, now fingers crossed for 2008.

sry i have to disagree with the vertical positioning of the branches in one of the post on page 3... i keep my prasinus with horizontal perches, branches and vines... they seem to love navigating there way through the thick scrub as well as climbing

From my experience, I think tree monitors will climb on practically anything. If it's available they will use it.

Cork tubes with holes drilled in them seems to work the best. They constantly climb in and out of them.

But a must for all tree monitors is cork tiles on the back and sides of the enclosure.

Stunning Prasinus! But you are going to need more height on them vivs pretty soon. What you got planned? Cutting through to the bottom one! Making one big viv?

I'm actually getting the new arboreal hepatic Viv's they are 3.5FTC3FTC2ft (H.W.D) i love the hepatics for there easy to clean and keep mite free plus they hold heat and humidity perfectly i keep them at an ambient temp of 31C 87-88F and it hardly fluctuates... so as soon as hepatic announced there arboreal rage i ordered them

Lucky Reptile do some great cork backgrounds. Ask any specialist reptile shop and they should be able to order them for you.

The Herpek vivs are good but I would say the dimensions are to small for a pair of Prasinus when they are fully grown. A minimum size viv would be 48x24x48.
