Sorry Jase I totally dis agree with sedatives as the animal can still hear and get stressed by them but cannot react due to the drugs..I tend to turn all the "sounds" up in the house as Dennis is petrified of fireworks..
we try and increase the volume of most tjhings as much as we can to try and block a degree of the bangs out...he tends to come and cuddle up when he hears loud ones as well so we make extra fuss of him and try to distract him by playing with one of his fave toys etc.. _________________

what about sedatives for me??? is it my imagination...or are they getting louder. i have to go sit in field with the horses. they never bother them, but i feel if im not there something will happen. the dogs go mental, and while i dont mind being jumped on by a jack russell, to hell wi being squashed by a 5 stone american bulldog!!! _________________

No worries Jase..plenty of people use them for dogs without realising that they are only adding to the dogs torment.....Lynn they do seem to get louder I agree but I just chase the little shi.ts with a nicely lit air bomb if they hang around my house..lol _________________

it will be good if its like tonight on 5th. its blowing a gale up here. i hate being a spoilsport, but half the kids dont even know what the fireworks are supposed to represent. i just dont see the point in them. and i say the 5th, but it goes on for weeks before the 5th too. _________________
