Hi, Well firstly i have to say that the viv definately wasnt ready for them, not nessissarily because of my impatience.
They new were everything was in half an hour, never seen them so active.
Normally they get up about 9 in the morning, retire about 2.30ish and might have a shuffle around between 4 and 5oclock, last night they were up till 11, i expect this to faze out as they settle into it all..
Firstly i havent got a grill to keep them from getting into the lid, first thing the female did was shimey up there and stick her head and shoulders through a vent, problem now sorted. Also the glass support frame meets the small front/side walls at an angle leaving an inch by half inch triangular gap running top to bottom, this was the second thing she found and slunk straight into it, luckily she could turn around in it and came straight out again Shocked problem now solved.
The 3rd thing, which is quite un-nerving, is the shuteless base jumping, this is amusing for a while but i am starting to worry about brain damage and broke bones!! hopefully this too will faze out as they learn about there new saroundings<(spelling) and settle in. I wonder if it was this species that helped coin the frase "leaping lizards"
Any way i was hopeing to video them in there but my rechargable batterys are duff so i only took a few photos of them out and about in the new, as yet not 100% finished vivarium....
About to leap..

mid leap??

The 2 brothers looking for flaws in my plan

My two boys??

My girl, starting her slough

Investigating a hole

going in

In

Out the other end

Gorged

Very Happy

Cheers guys, Will try to get a full viv shot, with the glass in i have to move to one side cause of the flash, see what i can do im still trying to sus my camera out.
I have got to change the vents, there really cheap and nasty and more importantly they dont open and close when screwed in..
I ve temporarilly sealed a few holes so i'll have to go back over them with silicone.
When i first put them in, the two biggest (the ones i believe to be male) shot straight up to the basking area, first one there displayed aggressively (for a glauerti) to the other, provoking another display in return.. just the raised roach back and gular pouch puffing with a high legged gait, over before it started really but one "male" left the scene?!? i see them quite often basking together though, arms around each other.
The"female" is coloured differently, smaller and more likely to flee if approached by any of the others.
She is up and currently basking on the ledge directly above the glass were i cant see her from outside!! the 2 males arn't up yet! late night?
went of on a bit of a tangent Laughing

Thanks, The viv is aprox 7ft 10 tall but the actual living conpartment is about 5ft 10 high by 4ft glass front wide (5ft at widest point) by 4ft back/deep..
They are approximately 14 inches TL with 4-5 inch head & body, i thought they'd be lost in it but on second thoughts they are all ready too big for it Laughing
I think they may be sexually mature, but i'm not going to make any attempt to breed them until much later, unless i cant stop them??

All 3
