Hey everyone!
I could do with some ideas. I have been offered a place working with a christian conservation company in Kenya. They mainly specialise in birds, monkeys, turtles etc. but they want me to start up some projects on reptiles and amphibians. They have asked me to go over and work for them for 6 months which I'm absaloutely thrilled about. I have a few ideas but I was wondering . . . I want to use my time out there as best i possibly can. I would very much value peoples opinions on the type of studies that would be best. Does anyone out there have any experience with conservational studies and projects? If so what did you do and where did you do it?
Thanks to all those who reply,
Sam.

Hi Sam
I retired from Chester zoo a couple of years ago. If you were to contact the zoo i am sure they would be able to give you some ideas about what kind of project would be usefull while you are out in Kenya. They do many projects throughout the world. Its worth a try good luck. Very Happy

For the first 6 months it is not paid but you get housing and meals provided without charge. After 6months of that if you choose to stay on and work long term for them and they want you on board the team then you are put on the payroll.
This time next week i will probably be on the plane half way there!! Am very excited about it! I will have internet access out there but i'm not sure how reguarly i will be able to use it. hopefully i will be able to keep you all informed with what i'm doing, and post up the many pics i'll probably take Smile
