Just wondering what all you guys use to keep records. . .
And what you note down.

How often do you weigh?
Any examples of the records you use I know
people use allot of different ways will be interesting.

. . . thanks.

my lot each have a wee book, hardback tesco, 44p each. i weigh once a month, apart from kya who i weigh once a week. i write down each feed, what they ate,or if they refused. write down the shed and length, and of course what they weigh. and when they change size of feed item too. if they are on medication i write down when and how much they get. basically everything that happens.

Hi Paul

I use a software programme which was developed by Mike Willibanks called Degei. I can't recommend it highly enough. I am able to record all the usual things such as opaque, shed, feeding, defecation, measurements, medication etc. In addition it allows me to register and track clutch/litter information and genealogy records. I can also append photos of my animals against their individual records. It costs $25 and you can download it from the Internet.

As a general rule I always record all feeding / shedding activities and I weigh my Ball Pythons after every shed so that I can monitor their progress.

Hope this helps,

Cheers
Dave

We use Herp Care Software on the computer. It's quite a good program & can print total records when required.

Metzcal. very good program!

The only thing is that all programs are designed for snake keepers and not for people that keep lizards. Sad
