A happy and relaxed chameleons colours will show colour but not very bright, and are controlled hormonally and neurologically,
In times of stress the adrenal gland produces stress hormones, adrenaline and corticosterone,to get the body ready to fight or mate ect, causing the rapid change of mood and colour
Some chameleons colour up as soon as you pick them up,and this is an indication of low level stress....dont get me wrong some low level stress is healthy for your animal so dont be too worried.
I think most people show there animals to females/males in order to see the amazing colours. _________________ I feed your eyes with chameleon pics!!!! |
