Hi all,
I have just ordered an exo terra 45x45x60 viv to be delivered Monday and have my crestie on hold. I was just wondering what you all use as substrate, I was looking at the eco-earth blocks or some type of bark just wanted a few opinions as to a safe substrate, I already have all the plants, branches, vines, feeding dishes etc. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I go with eco earth. It's safe to use and nice to look at too. Add water to expand it all out and then in the viv compact it down so that there are no loose bits. It holds water well too and so helps with humidity. Good luck with the new guy, feel free to ask as many Q's as you want - someone's always here to help. |

Cool, you could probably fill the whole tank with 3 blocks it's surprising how much it expands. I think you will only need the one but it's always good to have spares handy. |
