Give him a couple of days to settle in, and as youve been moving/changing things give him a little more time to adjust, life is daunting when you live 1" off the ground.
The fact that your hand feeding means hes already getting used to you.
RE handling: Common sence is a good start (Im not saying you dont have any) A couple of short bursts a day to start with, making sure he doesnt get cold. Lengthen these interactions as you see fit. Within a few weeks he'll no longer see you as a threat in the viv and activley come over to you to see what your doing (their very inquisitive).
Have you got any books on Beardies? |

I have to say "The guide to owning a bearded dragon" -By David Zoffer and Tom Mazorlig isnt much cop, its the sort of book that whets your appitite but leaves you with more questions than answers
The 2 best books I have are "The bearded Dragon Manual" -Various Authors. Its a great source for pet husbandry.
Also theres the "Bearded Dragons and Frilled Lizards" -By Andree Hauschild and Hubert bosch. This is a great source for wild distrabution and field observations, also pictures of the lesser known Pogona's |
