From what ive read, NOT MY EXPERIENCE. You shouldn't keep two corns together...they can get caniballistic and such...

Even with a breeding pair it is not a good idea to keep them permanently together. Cornsnakes are known to be cannabalistic - one might fancy making a snack out of the other
Same applies to Kingsnakes as they're also cannabalistic.
Read on another forum just the other week someone who decided to breed his Kingsnakes. They obviously didn't fancy each other and tried to eat each other instead. Fortunately the owner saw what was happening and managed to separate the two but even in a short space of time they managed to leave bite marks on each other
Kingsnakes and Cornsnakes definitely two breeds of snake I'd house separately. _________________ 3 Royal Pythons - Byron, Bobby & Rosie

You can keep corns together with no problems whatsoever if you follow two basic rules.
1) They must be the same size or nearly so.
2) They must never be fed in the same vivarium, always seperate them. _________________ People laugh at me because I am different

I keep adult female cornsnakes together and have done so for a number of years.
Size wise, I use a 4x2x2 for mine. _________________ www.ratsnakefoundation.org |

Yes but their is still the risk and to me that is too much of a risk. If you do not have the space for keeping two seperately then only keep one.
It is okay if you know the temperements of your snakes, but these can change, and they are both female and the same age and size. Still one can become more dominant. Snakes do NOT need company they are better on their own. As I said though the risk is still too much for me to accept. _________________ 23/07/07 RIP Mousey a furry companion of 15 years. |

Yeah but so are lions and gazelles and you wouldn't put them in the same tank |

Yes and no. In the wild they have a lot of space to get away from each other, not possible in an viv. Also they sometimes eat each other in the wild, get ticks and some of the morph we keep wouldn't survive in the wild, but we don't emulate the wild, we try to provide the best enviroment we can in an artifical situation. _________________ 23/07/07 RIP Mousey a furry companion of 15 years. |
